The Climate Fix: Pielke Jr.‘s New Book Earns Praise

September 15, 2010 | Yael Borofsky,

Breakthrough Senior Fellow Roger Pielke Jr.'s new book, The Climate Fix: What Scientists and Politicians Won't Tell You About Global Warming, will be hitting bookstores later this month but it's already available through a variety of vendors and is garnering top reviews.

From the Library Journal:

Pielke is unusual, as he neatly separates the science of climate change from the rhetoric, bringing the issue back to the realm of rational discussion ... Overall, an excellent primer for getting past the politically charged debate clouding the issues.

And Publishers Weekly (no direct link):

Pielke (The Honest Broker) presents a smart and hard-nosed analysis of the politics and science of climate change and proposes a commonsense approach to climate policy...Although some may protest on principle the suggestion that we accept the inevitability of energy growth, Pielke's focus on adaptation to climate change refreshingly sidesteps the unending debate over the reality of anthropogenic climate change, and opens up the possibility for effective action that places human dignity and democratic ideals at the center of climate policies.

Stay tuned for more reviews when the book officially hits shelves nationwide September 28, 2010, and head to www.TheClimateFix.com for more, including a free excerpt from the book.
