The graph above shows the proportion of global fossil fuel consumption that comes from coal, gas and oil. The data comes from the 2010 Statistical Review of World Energy from BP. Ridiculous, the people do not need to change their habits, the power plants simply need to change their fuel source, period. Efficiency standards for appliances such as AC units would be significantly helpful, but that would be considered "socialism!" by the right wingers. Couldn't agree more with this statement. I strongly feel this is simply intentional stalling to maintain the attitude "we are still researching", when, obviously, no further research is needed.

Just get on the ball, give up fossil fuels and allow progress for the human race. Stop trying to control us via fuel and nutrition, the necessities of our economy. I know you'll have to give up political power, but you'll save lives & the planet.
