President, Pritzker Innovation Fund
Rachel is founder and president of the Pritzker Innovation Fund, which supports the development and advancement of paradigm-shifting ideas to address the world's most wicked problems. The Fund is currently focused on a range of climate, energy, and conservation issues.
She previously served as a founding board member of the Democracy Alliance, a partnership of business and philanthropic leaders committed to a stronger democracy by supporting progressive organizations with a concentration on media, policy, mobilization, and leadership training. She also formerly served on the board of the Pema Foundation and was a founding board member of Media Matters for America. Rachel currently chairs the advisory board of the Breakthrough Institute.
Rachel attended Brown University where she majored in Latin American studies and comparative religious studies. She is a clinical nutritionist who co-founded the nation’s first accredited master’s degree program in botanical medicine.
