Joshua S. Duclos teaches philosophy and humanities at St. Paul’s School.
Dr. Josh Duclos is the author of Wilderness, Morality, and Value. Working at the intersection of value theory, environmental philosophy, and bioethics, he investigates how we should think about and relate to the natural world in an age when nature is no longer a given. Dr. Duclos holds graduate degrees in philosophy from the University of Chicago and Boston University. He is a former wilderness guide, Fulbright scholar, and researcher at the Pardee Center for the Study of Longer-Range Future. Recently, Dr. Duclos has served as a volunteer lecturer in moral philosophy at the National Polytechnic University in Lviv, Ukraine.
