Peter Cook works at the Breakthrough Institute as an Analyst on the Climate and Energy team, researching topics related to mining, critical minerals and industrial materials, and implications of deep decarbonization scenarios.
Peter holds an MS and BS degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences from the University of Michigan. His research focused on the transport and uptake of trace metals and environmental contaminants, which produced publications in Minerals and Environmental Science and Technology.
In his free time, Peter enjoys hiking, camping, and finding new places to eat.
