John Chung-En Liu
Associate Professor, National Taiwan University
John is an Associate Professor of Sociology at National Taiwan University and also an affiliated faculty member in NTU's International Degree Program in Climate Change and Sustainable Development (IPCS). His research mainly draws from economic and environmental sociology to study climate change and the environment. In recent years, he also branched out his research interests to race, gender, food, and other topics. Before returning to Taiwan in summer 2019, he was an Assistant Professor at Occidental College for three years. During 2015-2016, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard Kennedy School. John earned his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and joint master’s degrees from the School of Forestry & Environmental Studies (MEM) and the International and Development Economics (IDE) program at Yale University. |
