Raphaëlle Haywood

Dr. Raphaëlle Haywood has been a Lecturer in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Exeter, UK since July 2020. Her research focuses on the detection and characterisation of small, potentially terrestrial planets around other stars than our Sun (which are known as exoplanets).
She spent most of her childhood in France, then moved to the UK to study Physics and Astrophysics. Dr. Haywood obtained her PhD in 2015 at the University of St Andrews, UK. After her PhD, she was a postdoctoral researcher and a NASA Sagan Fellow at Harvard College Observatory, USA.
