We are currently hiring an Office Manager/Bookkeeper to play an integral role in keeping our rapidly growing organization humming and thriving. We are looking for someone who likes to solve problems, build systems, and create order. You will gain first-hand experience working on everything from the business office to event production to human resources. This role is full-time and based in Berkeley, California. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Creating systems to keep the physical office organized
Liaising with the building manager and contractors to solve facilities issues
Owning bill pay, payroll, expense reporting, and monthly accounting
Managing office technology
Supporting hiring and onboarding
Scheduling meetings
Assisting with the execution of our annual events
Maintaining fundraising records
Streamlining state compliance tasks
Traveling locally and nationally for events and administrative projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant work experience
Google applications (Gmail, Google docs, calendar, etc).
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience interacting with vendors, donors, event guests, external stakeholders, etc.
Job Conditions:
Employees are required to report to the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and may choose to work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additional hours may be required to meet deadlines. Some travel and evening time may be required depending on events, invitations, presentations, meetings, and other job-related work outside of the office.
All employees must receive the full course of vaccinations and booster for COVID-19.
