A.R. Siders

Environmental Fellow, Harvard University Center for the Environment

A.R. Siders is a lawyer and scientist specializing in governance solutions for coastal climate change adaptation. Her academic work explores social justice issues in coastal relocation to address sea level rise and uses computational text mining to create tools that build the adaptive capacity of coastal communities. She also collaborates with consulting companies and non-profits to integrate climate adaptation into disaster risk reduction and resilience efforts. Siders previously served as a Presidential Management Fellow with the U.S. Navy and as an Associate Director of the Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia University. She is a newly appointed Environmental Fellow with the Harvard University Center for the Environment.
