Eric Kennedy

Associate Professor, Disaster and Emergency Management, York University

Eric Kennedy is an Assistant Professor of Disaster and Emergency Management at York University in Toronto. His research focuses on wildfire management, with special attention to environmental policy, organizational structures, decision-making under uncertainty. He is also particularly interested in research and program evaluation methods, regularly teaching workshops and consulting on the subject. Kennedy is the founder of the Forum on Science, Policy, and Society, a not-for-profit organization that runs training initiatives like “Science Outside the Lab” (sotlnorth.ca) for early career researchers interested in science policy.
