Kwaw Andam
Research Fellow, International Food Policy Research Institute
Kwaw Andam is a research fellow with the International Food Policy Research Institute. He has published award-winning research on the causal linkages between regulatory protection, land use, and socioeconomic outcomes. He now lives in Ghana, conducting policy-relevant research to support economic development. Previously, he worked at the World Bank in Washington DC, where he helped to manage the bank’s lending operations in Indonesia, Mexico, and Yemen, and he also spent three years as a research economist in Ethiopia. He was trained in engineering and economics and earned a Ph.D. in public policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia State University. His research has been published in journals such as the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Agricultural Economics, and Conservation Letters.
