Michael Grunwald

Michael Grunwald is an award-winning journalist and best-selling author who is currently writing a column about food and climate for Canary Media and a book about how to feed the world without frying the world for Simon & Schuster. He is also the co-host of the Climavores podcast. He has won the George Polk Award for national reporting, the Worth Bingham Prize for investigative reporting, and many other journalism honors.
After growing up on Long Island and graduating from Harvard College, Mike was a staff writer for The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, TIME Magazine and POLITICO Magazine. Mike is the author of two critically acclaimed books, The Swamp: The Everglades, Florida, and the Politics of Paradise (Simon & Schuster, 2006), which was adapted for a PBS documentary, and The New New Deal: The Hidden Story of Change in the Obama Era (Simon & Schuster, 2012), which spent four weeks on the New York Times best-seller list.
Mike is married to Cristina Dominguez, a lawyer and Aryuvedic counselor. They live in Miami with their son, Max, their daughter, Lina, and their deranged dogs, Cookie and Wag
