Michael E. Zimmerman has published two books on environmental philosophy, along with dozens on articles and book chapters about deep ecology and related topics. His environmental philosophy anthology, now in its fourth edition, Environmental Philosophy: From Animal Rights to Radical Ecology, was the first to include essays on deep ecology and ecofeminism. While teaching at Tulane University, he co-directed the environmental studies program for a decade. After taking a position at the University of Colorado at Boulder, he continued to teach courses in environmental ethics and philosophy.
