Sam Bliss is a PhD student in ecological economics at the University of Vermont. Previously, he held a one-year Fulbright fellowship at the Autonomous University of Barcelona where he worked with Professor Giorgos Kallis. Sam and Giorgos are currently finishing up a book about why technology alone will not solve the environmental crisis. He is also part of the Economics for the Anthropocene research initiative and a member of the scholar-activist collective Research & Degrowth.
