Jessica Weinkle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public and International Affairs at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Her research interests are broadly in the area of science, policy and politics with current projects examining issues of climate science & conflicts of interest, regulatory capture, and state level science advice. She provided testimony to the United States Senate and maintains the substack newsletter, Conflicted. Jessica holds a doctorate in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder
