Elizabeth McCarthy
Research Assistant
Elizabeth McCarthy is a Research Assistant on the Climate and Energy Team at the Breakthrough Institute, focusing on policy reform in their D.C. office. She holds a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies with minors in Philosophy and Economics from Lewis and Clark College (2023).
At Breakthrough, Elizabeth is currently working on understanding the NEPA litigation processes to propose reforms that streamline and enhance the development of infrastructure, clean energy, mining, and forestry management projects.
Before joining Breakthrough, she researched NEPA at Holland & Knight under Jennifer Hernandez. In her free time, she enjoys running long distances and exploring new places.
